Thanks for this upload. I would say this is a fair account on Kant's life, but Strathern is too prone to hyperbole. Kant's system had its clever bits, but it has not stood the test of time. Strathern judges it the most brilliant system of all time, which is ludicrous, not to mention totally subjective. German idealism was just a temporary flight from the challenges of empiricism, and in the end, it simply fell apart from pointless metaphysics. Kant is interesting, but that is all.
