Luie Hond (Lazy Dog) is a Dutch reggae/ska band from Leeuwarden, Netherlands. This band was founded in the summer of 1997. They sing in dutch, and they can be seen as the new “Doe Maar”, another Dutch reggae/ska band. Since their debut album in 2004 they have become increasingly popular in The Netherlands and Belgium, and their new album Met Liefde has been widely received as a great CD. However many people think they are inspired by “Doe Maar”, their great inspirators are like Third World and Bob Marley… Luie Hond announced their end in october 2007, reasons being mainly financial.
