i keep getting 'permission denied' errors in the console log, when trying to launch. all perms are my user. any ideas?

I downloaded maple 12.0, and the 12.02 patch from maplesoft. So thanks for the license file and info on how to install, it works great on my ibook G4.

If your having problems with getting this to run (your console.app shows up with "permission denied" and Maple does not launch), try giving execute permissions to Maple via terminal.app.
Open up terminal and type "cd /Applications" and after that "chmod -R 755 Maple\ 12/"
Worked for me.

Make sure you use the -R modifier when you run chmod. That way it will modify all the files in the .app package.

Anyone please help me with the license...? I installed 12.0 and it worked perfectly (after giving +x perms to the app). Then I upgraded to 12.0.2 and replaced the license file with the alternate one, but I instantly got the invalid license error upon next launch. I've tried fiddling with the files in in various ways (like putting my MAC address, rather than ANY, mimicking the vendor strings from the 12.0 license, etc) but no matter what I do I always get the same error. Anyone, anyone...? Thanks!

I successfully copied all necessary files onto my mac/updated it/changed license. Maple 12 launches, however when I attempt to execute any problems in Maple, it tells me 'kernel connection unavailable'. Any ideas?
