"This is a complete pakage to run Mac OS X as guest operative system

How about to run leopard as guest on a mac who runs Snow Leopard, is that possible? There's some apps that's not yet compatible with SL so it would be great to run Leopard when you need it.

DefconOne (2009-09-19)

In Parallels 4 you can install Leopard Server and Snow Leopard Server as a guest OS, I wonder why not standard Leopard/SL?

goinggreen (2009-09-19)

Just one question before downloading and seeding: What version of Leopard is this? I have a VMWare image of 10.5.5 that will not upgrade. Is this by any chance 10.5.6 or higher?

nws6969 (2009-09-21)

What is the admin password?

bsims13 (2009-09-22)

the Mac Admin password is "password" no quotes

TeamWersaq (2009-09-23)

As "bsims13" said, the password for MAC ADMIN is password. I'm sorry i havn't been able to help you guys, my account has been going on the fly.

vonspurter (2009-09-25)

Works great but USB does not initialize. Do you know how to fix?

erroneus (2009-09-26)

Last I heard, there are still no VMWare tools for MacOSX guest. Is that still the case?

inhahe (2009-09-29)

download vmware-darwin-200.zip from http://drop.io/donk29a
mount darwin.iso in vmware and then install client tools
support is limited though.

eking (2009-10-13)

same here...
Help.....................................

blig (2009-10-14)

I had the infinite spinning circle problem, too. Tried it on another computer: same thing.
Here's a workaround: before the OS starts loading (just before the VMWare logo disappears) be holding down Windows Key + V (I think any key should work, but just in case).
It will then ask you if you want to boot in verbose mode or something like that... Just type in -legacy into the prompt and it should work. It did for me. (I think this is always necessary when running VMWare on a 32-bit Windows operating system.)
If this alone doesn't work, also try putting the processor in "Binary Translation" only mode in the hardware options for the VMWare machine while the machine is off. (You still need to do the -legacy thing at boot... and it will run much slower.)
You shouldn't have to do -legacy every time. Google to find out how to make it a permanent setting. (I haven't had time, yet.)

eking (2009-10-15)

First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH BLIG!
that worked-I've bben searching the web for a solution for more than a week!
second-
Can u please help me on another thing.... I can't change the resolution to more than 1024X768...
that's the only resolution shown on the screen menu..
Thank you in advance!

k-line (2009-10-19)

Thanks blig! My Mac OS could load normally though very slow. After I turned on hardware virtualization in bios, it refused to load, but I used the method you mentioned to solve it. Now it runs pretty fast! (relatively speaking of course...)
I still can't get sound working though...

k-line (2009-10-19)

by the way, i think one can use
sudo nvram boot-args="-legacy"
to make it a permanent setting

k-line (2009-10-19)

nvm that. i could not change it using nvram.
i had to edit
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist
and change
Kernel Flags
to
Kernel Flags
-legacy
...
if you are a Mac noob like me, be sure to grant write permission to yourself using Get Info to that folder and file. After saving the modification, change permissions back using Disk Utilities - First Aid - Repair Disk Permissions afterwards.

anarchydeluxe420 (2009-10-31)

Will this work on Windows 7 Ultimate x64? I guess my real question is can you install this on a x64 system?

m.cenaj (2009-11-01)

How fast is this version of mac on vmware. All other versions are really slow...

to1337ca (2009-11-03)

The audio is NOT working. Can someone please post some straightforward instruction on how to fix this? Running legit Workstation 7 non-ACE edition on legit Vista SP1.
