BUT...
I'm not sure if the Benelux DVD studios are total morons, or if the rippers smoke too much good stuff in Amsterdam. The fact is that none of these DVD images respects the DVD standard.
There is no menu (even though the .nfo says it's supposed to be there!) and only the first film on the disc will play in VLC. What's worse, DVD analyzer tools (like DVD Shrink) will report a broken structure and refuse to play.
I'm not sure what happens if you burn these .iso files to DVD and try them on a standalone... Maybe they play, maybe they don't. But I've learned that whenever I come to this site and download a DVD ripped by Dutch people, I ALWAYS need to check it out for consistency, and perhaps re-rip/fix/recreate it using virtual imaging software and proper rippers.
Piss-poor ripping and DVD encoding are becoming the norm for the DVD-Rs posted from the Netherlands. Either there's some strange copy protection employed locally, or the people who rip discs consistently use bad software tools (or have no idea what they're doing).
It's very clear that, instead of using the old but reliable DVD Decrypter (perhaps in conjunction with AnyDVD, in case there's a more recent and/or stringent copy protection system present), the rippers use some shitty piece of Chinese software unsuitable for the job. Whether they deliberately did so to restrict access or not, it remains an open question.
To sum it all up for all everyone else from across the world who come to this site:
Check out everything the Dutch put online, and make sure they haven't screwed it up, especially when it comes to DVDs.
