Album Summary: Death Magnetic is the upcoming ninth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica. It is scheduled for release on September 12, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. The album will be the band's first to feature current bassist Robert Trujillo, and the first to be produced by Rick Rubin. Death Magnetic also marks the first time in the band's history in which all band members contributed to each song on an album. It will be their first studio album released through Warner Bros., although they still remain with Warner Music Group, which also owns Elektra Records, the band's previous label.
Since May 12, 2008 (2008-05-12), the album has been heavily promoted on its specially dedicated website, entitled Mission: Metallica, which features daily updates of exclusive, behind-the-scenes sneak previews with photos and video clips from the studio. The original logo used by the band, which had been discontinued following the 1993 release Live Shit: Binge & Purge in favor of more modernized band logos, made its return on Death Magnetic.
Info About My Releases: The LAME codec will never be used by me on any release; it is outdated, especially when compared to such a great codec such as the Nero Digital Audio Codec. It is known for ultra-high compression ratios that are much better...for example, an AAC file at 128 kbps will be of equal or higher quality than a MP3 at 192 kbps. I encode all songs at a VBR [Variable Bit Rate] at the quality level Q=0.70 and the quality definitely can be heard by any audio lover. Turn it up as loud as the CD; you will hear no distortion like with an MP3. Also, each track is tagged by me personally, and pre-organized for you so there is no mess to clean up with the tags. Just add the files to your favorite music player, and hit play. Or go play them in your car from you Ipod or Zune player and impress your friends. After a few UnisonBand releases you will never look for a MP3 release again! Enjoy, and remember Release-Lounge RG=Quality!
Final Words: This album rocks, there is no question. This is a rip directly from the Retail CDDA, and I must say the audio quality is better than the PROMO, but I also want to say the person in charge of mastering this album did a lousy job. I tested each AAC file on my car and home stereo, and they sound just as they did on the CD, so please enjoy this fantastic album! This is actually an album worth purchasing...[hint]

Oxygeen, I laugh at your comment! This is not a virus, lol.uberdogleg (2008-09-13)
all you people who dont like the album, why the fuck bother posting it here. and if you dont like st.anger. why post it here. we really dont care what you like or not. thats whats so great about music, taste is individual. if you post "st.anger sux", what the fuck are you hoping at? that other people will post the same or likewise so you can feel a sort of acceptance or some fucked feeling? if i say i like some metallica songs, and some not , regardless of wich album they are from, am i a lesser fan? what decides that? . and take st.anger. some love it , some not. why give a fuck. people who says THIS album sux balls , ok dont listen to it.tuba (2008-09-13)

Finally someone beated Pink Floyd on audio top 100 here :) Nice to see that even thrash metal album can be this popular in 2008, thougt it was done by mid 80´s. HAIL TALLICA, like it or not but think of this in un-mainstream perspective. Not so bad Kirk and guys... Btw, hope you´ve allready bought your original. This kind of stuff is one of the few you are obligated to do so.Scormio (2008-09-13)

great quality, thanks for the uploadantoax71 (2008-09-14)
i think that biggest METALLICA's MISTAKE HAS BEEN THE BLACK ALBUM, so mainstreaam that the new generation think his is their style:when Master of Puppet came out was consider just noisy and unmusical from the mainstream...same as St.Anger.. i listen to it when i want to clean up my brain..haven't heard the new one yet but i hope is loud!rad2905 (2008-09-14)
Again same clipped sound, as many others, recoded from initial wma... Still waiting for proper release...Rower (2008-09-14)

who the fuck can say that metallica sux they are like the most famous metal band and i dont think any metal band will ever match up to metallica!!!Xocatuz (2008-09-15)
Any of you brainless bitch ass motherfuckers wanna write some useful info about sound quality instead of personal shitness?Intelligence is not your world
thorofdenmark (2008-09-16)
Normally i would agree Xocatuz (or is that you again Leaking_daiper007) and of course we would all like to look up and see a sky filled with purple pigs farting nothing but flowers and sunshine. But this is fucking Metallica we are talking about and there has got to be a place to vent the frustration of yet another useless Metallica CD! (I 4 1 like the songs and the stab at the old melodic Metallica but) The production is awful and it's like sticking rusty nails I your ears only without the comforting possibility of death. As far as the rip goes nothing indicates anything but a perfect copy ...as consensus seems to be among the comments!heteaho (2008-09-16)
Anyone looking for better sound quality, check outhttp://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4394813/Metallica_Death_Magnetic_COFFIN_BOX_DEMO_CD
Despite being called "demo" its tons better in sound quality despite being lossy. Highly recommended for anyone who is dissatisfied with the "mix" of the retail.
