Ontrack is quite possibly the best recovery software. It is slow, but, it is very thorough! When it comes to recovering lost files, or partitions I will happily wait how much ever time it takes to get everything that was lost.

ya i'm with DJ Vizor on this one. this version finds no drives whatsoever on any PC. tried it 3 times.
i always forget to not download this one.

If it doesn't find your drives, go into your BIOS and put your SATA controller into Legacy or Compatibility mode.

i run a data recovery company and this software is basically a shit storm. it has ony ONE use, which is to recover RAW data from destroyed filesystems. Even then, it is buggy, prone to freezes, and on top of all that, it doesn't run on Windows 7. whoever makes this thing is basically a fucking idiot. use GETDATABACK for crying out loud. THAT is a solid piece of fucking software. i shit on Ontrack
