Stalker Clear Sky Travel fix 100% working

Notes: It's a small patch which fixes traveling from a place to place. It should be compatible with any version and patch. In addition you don't have to start a new game!. Instructions: 1. Extract this file 2. Copy gamedata folder to your root clear sky game folder. 3. In game root folder, open fsgame.ltx with notepad and change this line: From: $game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata To this: $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata And then save.

Your saves should be stored in root C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS

TO THOSE WITH SAVE GAME ISSUES.
You are probably running Vista or have XP installed on a different drive. The reason your save games disapeared is because the fsgame.ltx contained inside this file uses the default STALKER-STCS directory which is.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS\
Your saves are not gone, you just need to use your old fsgame.ltx and replace $game_data$ line with this.
$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
Basically like you would for mods in SHOC.
This fix only modifies the UI files.

I think that I know what's wrong. Vista and Xp use different folder for storing your saves.
If you use vista, first try to find the folder where are saves located. Then open with notepad fsgame.ltx file(root folder of game) and in first line enter name of the folder containg your saves.
ex.
$app_data_root$=true|false|C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS\

chihaiacosmin i had that thing with the keyboard too but just press "default" and the default keysetup will appear then remap it to your desire.

dont know if anyone else has this problem but after i played for two hours it crashes, no problem i thought, then i load last save and just before loading is over it turns black and i can see the point arrow, same thing happend to other saves except for autosave just after i leave the swamp, just to be met by the fucking gunner who nails ya ten times over. this happend to me two times, one with the russian and the english one.
anyone have a clue?

after went through to garbage, i went back and messed about completing side missions for couple of hours, now when i go back to garbage, get a bugtrap ctd error, guess i should of stayed in garbage :(

Phil, this game has so many bugs. I had problems with traveling from a military warehouse to red forest. There was nothing I could do so I had to repeat missions. I recommend everyone to save game often(not quicksaves!)

Yeah, saving is essiential to beating/compleating the game.I HAVE to play on simple difficulty becuase the game is too damn hard!
I have the original stalker, but a small speck is destroyed on the cd, weired pinhole on front of cd.Anywho, both games are milestones in the fps genre.Always take heed of saving often and enjoy the experience that is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky!!!!!!!!!!

i get that one fsgame.ltx error too
found the save game folder, tried to link to that in the top of the .ltx file, but to no avail, tried copying the .ltx file into the save folder, still no game...
am running windows from my D:\ drive since windows decided to switch the drive letters last time i ran a re-install, and since only some have this problem, i guess those who are having trouble with the game, are running the game off a different drive than C:\
just my take, hope somone out smarts this soon, 'couse i'm waiting a while before purchase...

I saved just before entering cordon, and left that save alone creating new ones, all the new ones crash when trying to enter garbage, although i did go there then went back to complete some side missions. So i tried going back to swamp save, and guess what, when i go from cordon back to swamp it now crashes the same, could it be that all my saves are corrupt ???? that would be strange!
This been out now for a week and no1 yet proper cracked, maybe never crack this 1!

Phil, every save doesn't load? Yesterday, I completed game. I had few problems and crashes but I managed to complete it.
storm-83, What operating system do yo have (Xp or vista). Maybe you operate windows on D: partition but you have installed game on C: partition..

I have done MAJOR investigating on the web and forums related to STALKER:CS.
This is a 1.5.04 PATCH issue.
It does not matter if you have a cracked version or legit copy.
The fix posted here may or may not work. Most likely it will not. Others have tried and failed. This fix can be found in forums all over. Some succeed...most fail. The Russian version seems to be the best version of this game. It seems GSC and THQ care about that market the most. All others are taking the back seat.
You might get past CORDON and get back to the swamp. In many cases, you cannot leave the swamp again.
According to the official forums at the official site...this is the case and the .04 patch is to blame.
Sure, you can play the .03 patch but that has huge issues too. Just check the list of problems the .04 patch release notes solves and you will get the picture.
I would not play this with much seriousness until the next patch comes out.
I am going to play Crysis Warhead for the next week or so then check back in on the STALKER situation.

For some reason, I can't get the guide in the southern farmstead to take me to Cordon. The game doesn't crash or anything, nothing happens. I can just walk to the Cordon but then i can't get any additional missions because I am supposed to be going with the guide. Any suggestions.

It works for cordon-garbage. For swamps guide- just go forward thru the fence to cordon, guide isnt working. So this travelfix works for me PERFECT. So what!!!!!!! I cant go back to military wearhouses second time an area around forester is O N E B I G B U G!

hehe its ok now i started from early save, applied this fix again and now im welcomed by duty officer as entered agroprom, not like before. I see u cant do what u REALLY want in game. Im so hapy i can continue ^^

To move game on:
-save game
-turn off
-move do SCS directory and replace gamedata folder to other place on your HDD
-start game again
-do you job in Red Forest
-back to Garbage
-save game
-turn off game
-move back gamedata folder to right place

I wasn't able to play it from D:\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky where i installed it, but when i was looking for the other installed Menu\Programs\Deep Silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky) there was stalker clears sky shortcut that allows me to play xD try that if it works for you

So many years later and the same bugs remain without solution in this game. I 'm playing with the latest 1.5.1.0 patch and I'm stuck in Yandar without hope going back in Garbage. I tried to enter Garbage after travelling through the Swamps to Cordon but no luck. I confirm that this fix doesn't work for the latest patch. Its just disappointing, I have to abandon this great game. We hope for STALKER 4...
