So far so good, but when I closed the activation windows, the aforementioned process (for XP) was not running. The windowblinds window appeared, but it didn't work. Whenever I tried to apply skins, it reverted to Windows Classic. I tried patching it again, and it said that the file could not be accessed because it was in use, or something to that effect. Any suggestions?

Try uninstalling it and install it again. Maybe something went wrong during the installation process. Make sure that you close the activation window twice when it finishes. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and look for the 'WBINST~1.exe' process. You might've missed it before (we doubt it tho).
Please tell us if you are still experiencing the problem!

We have just tested WindowBlinds again, and we have discovered the solution. After switching to a different theme, it would occasionally change to the Windows Classic theme. If this happens to anyone, all you have to do is restart the computer to let WindowBlinds complete the change.

I got a little problem. I follow the instructions exactly like listed, I install, kill the processes, copy the patch in the WB folder, open it, but when i click on patch that .dll file, it says "Already patched or another file version".. I unistalled and installed again, restarted the PC.. Don't know what to do..

Try doing the steps again really slowly. Especially right after you kill the process, you should wait a bit for it to completely 'terminate' and then you could patch it. If the problem still occurs, then it could be because of your computer; we tried and tested it twice.

Sorry, But I have tried 10 times and the Keygen does not work. Still gives the message "Already patched or another file version". Any suggestions?

Try installing SP2 for XP, if you are using XP and haven't done so already. If you are using Vista, try installing SP1 if you haven't already.
Fully uninstall all previous versions of WindowBlinds. Use CCleaner to clean old registry keys for WindowBlinds.
And most importantly, close both Activation windows, AND close the main WindowBlinds program. When you are killing the process using Task Manager, make sure you have closed all the windows.

Re-format computer, Vista + Sp1 + clean install, no antivirus..
Close all activation windows and services also, but I still get the message error on Vista.
Now happens that the patch, works flawlessly on XP, but not on Vista.

I'm getting the same problem as the previous 3 posts. I don't know where to open WbSrv.dll from and the sig file that I save doesnt do anything but tell me I have older versions installed or whatever. I've already used CCleaner to completely remove Windowblinds and it still gives me the same problem. Help please.

Could anyone possibly please help? I installed this just fine without any problems, but whenever I apply a skin it just switches to window classic theme and still doesn't work even after I restart my computer.
I use to use v5.5 which worked just fine but this one won't seem to for some reason. I'm running Windows XP SP2 + .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

this torrent has a trojan/virus in one of the dll files aswell as the patcher itself shows as having a trojan. I don't know exactly whats the truth...

there aint no trojan in this, you just have a cheap and crappy antivirus. avg and a few others will 90% of the time mistake cracks or keygens for trojans. Try avast. thats what im using and it hasnt made any mistakes yet and has succesfully stopped all ACTUAL attacks on my pc
