It's a fine film but unfortunately the translation given in the subtitles is sometimes poor. Eg near the beginning of the film Kesakichi sings but the song isnt included in the English subtitles. Apparently he's singing the ballad from which the film takes its title.I did a quick search on the internet but I couldnt find any better English subtitles. If anyone finds better English subtitles, please post a link here.
