Cycling '74 Jitter 1.2

Tried installing this, but every time I load up Max now it says I need to reboot or install drivers, and that Jitter is in demo mode. I've read other places that though the demo mode is just as good as the real thing, once 30 days pass it expires and stops functioning. There something I'm missing?
