For some reason the game won't save progress or setting changes after I quit the game.
It's all fine if I leave it running but when I quit and reload the game, there's no 'continue' option (just new campaign) and all settings have been reset.

1. This has already been unRAR'ed, for you non-computer-users.
2. The size is correct. This is NOT demo-size, the demo was 1.7GB.
3. The size is smaller due to low texture-res and old engine. Use your effing head.
4. I DL'ed at 5MBps. If you got slow download, it's your own f'ing fault.

My game takes like 5 minutes to load, then at the main menu everything is fluid. Then the game starts and the textures are completely screwed up, can't see a thing. I played the Demo just fine, hell I run Witcher 2 perfectly so this game really shouldn't be a problem lol.

If you are having S A V E game problems:
You must run the game AS ADMINISTRATOR (on windows 7 at least)
In order to continue playing after you exit/return to the game (being nagged by the wife).
And for all those looking for rars and cracks:
When you mount the image, you will have RAZOR1911 directory, after installation,just copy all the DIRECTORIES within it to the installation place (C:\progra...)

@ DeathTrooper30 --- you evidently do not understand the way it counts seeders\leechers --- while downloading even though you are uploading as well you will be listed as a leecher only those that have 100% of the file downloaded already will show as "seeders" !!! Um guys, i might have a small problem with the installer here..
First, i tried to install it, i had to put the Sid file in, then i waited, once the Sim asked for the other sid, i applyed it as requested, once that was done, the installer gave me this message " Installation is complete, now crack the game blablabla... " But the game ain't installed at all..... soo if im trying to install it again, the installer stops at file 766 and ask me for the sid, once that is applyed.. the installer just freeze... what the hell should i do ? iv'e been installing pirated stuff for years.. and haven't encountered anything like this installer.. so guys

I had some issues with sound as well, the intro had sound but not in game... and then I realized that I only copied the "System" folder from the "Razor1911" folder in the dvd iso. After I copied the entire contents of the "Razor1911" (LogitechLCD, Maps, MilesRedist, etc.) TO the System folder install location (usually C:\Program Files (x86 if you're on a 64bit windows)\Duke Nukem Forever), accept all the overrides, then the game launch is in the "System" folder. After that all the sounds worked perfect.
Also, Thanks ppl for the save game workaround, you can also right click the Level and check "Run this program as administrator" on. This will make sure you don't accidentally launch the game without the "run as admin" on, and to possibly play without being able to save.
Thanks for all the feedback! Everything is working for me now, Graphics look and works awesome on my AMD Phenom II, 8GB ram, ATI HD 5500 graphics card machine.

Game works fine!
For all those having trouble:
1. Install the game by selecting the file inside the DVD drive.
2. Once it is installed open the DVD drive in the "My Computer section".
3. Once this screen is open you should see a folder named "Razor 1911" open it
4. Inside Razor 1911 you will see a "System folder" open it
5. Copy everything in it
6. After that, make your way to your program files. It will look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Duke Nukem Forever.
7. Once there, open up the system folder.
8. Now paste what you copied in Step 5.
9. Replace every file it brings up.
10. Once that is all done open the Duke nukem application as ADMIN
yay! You are done now!

Saves the game when you run it in Admin mode, but you cant load it even after you quit, looked in the section where it saves the games, just makes a folder every time you load the game, play a bit, and quit, another folder is there, always EMPTY even when you run it in Admin! What is the go?

Holy Wow! The Chicks in the alien cave have some awesome tits! Very nice physics, I'm sure the programmers needed lots of reference ;-)
To all who can't find the files when the prompt comes up... They are in the ISO of the game that you should have burned/mounted. The default location looks for the file on a temp folder on your windows drive, it's not there! So you must navigate it to the location of the duke disk/image.

When I installed the game I got the message that said "duke nukem forever cannot find xinput1_3.dll"
Checked my DXdiag settings and was running DirectX 11. (win7 64 bit OS) Went out and downloaded the old DirectX 9 and the game runs fine. Great game. Great trip down memory lane.......... I will buy this.

The game works ok but the graphics are not very good - plus there are horizontal breaks in the screen when turning fast etc. anybody else get that? I have 1 gig ATI HD 5000 series card in this machine so it should be fine, it ran Crysis 2 with no problems with wayyyy better graphics.

Use the Skidrow crack. It's only 2.56 mb & it works. & you don't have to run it as administrator for it to save.
Razor1911 crack didn't work for me.

I just fucked up when i was installing, any tips on how to uninstall/reinstall. Because it isnt any unstiller in the file and the control panell do not see the game sort off... :) My problem is simply that i cant see the text in the start menu of the game, so i figured if i just install it again but properly... :D HOW DO I UNINSTALL?

Obviously you have reading problems. The instructions tell you to run the game as ADMIN rights and there are 7 pages of comments where people say "YOU HAVE TO RUN THE GAME WITH ADMIN RIGHTS OR YOU CAN'T SAVE"

IN ORDER FOR THE GAME TO WORK WITH SOUND (IF YOU ARE HAVING IN-GAME SOUND PROBLEMS) Simply go to the image of the Duke Nukem Forever Installer, right click on it - choose open, go to Razor1911 and open the folder "MilesRedist"
Copy everything from it and paste it in your installed game directory (in the System folder)
viola! it should work now!

This game is surprisingly good! I would say almost as good, if not better than Resident Evil 5 or Gears of War 2. The puzzles and bosses are fun! Don't forget to check yourself out in every mirror, pick up every magazine, piss in every bathroom, and turn on every computer to maximize your ego, because you can't really go back to get it.
To those who say that the graphics are crap, they are not! They kick ass! Just as good as crysis except for not any vegetation. Your video card or whole computer is crap, or you don't have them set up right. I'm running a cheap HD5770 (now about $110) and I'm running all settings on ultra, and anti-aliasing on, and I'm still getting great frame rate!

Well I'm running Win 7 64 w/4GB GIGABYTE GV-R577SO-1GD Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 and a 1090T CPU. and Crysis 2 runs awesome but the graphics on this are no where near as good. I'd be happy to be wrong about this, I've played most of the good games in the last few months and this is by far the worst graphics. I have the latest drivers. If there is a way I can make it as good as Crysis I'd love to hear about it.

Damn this game is fun, although one part I found disturbing, I won't be surprised if that particular part ends up on the news as a posterchild for the evil of gaming.

I could use some help with the exe crashing. Ok. I'm going to try to be clear because I've done just what everyone else has said. I mounted it, installed, copied EVERYTHING in the crack folder. Ran as admin and it come up "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click ok to terminate the application." If anyone has any constructive ideas please let me know.

I actually played Duke 3D when it was brand new and I still play it today. And as I said in my first comment I dislike the modern era of shooter games like Modern Warfare.
Duke Nukem Forever feels like all the crappy games today (orchestral elevator music, tube maps, too much script events, no freedom at all...the only freedom in this game is that you can take a piss!).

Im having some problems.
My first problem was after i installed i couldnt get the game to start up. It was just a black box with a crash report opened in a different window. I fixed this using the skidrow crack (idk how it fixed it, all i know is that i can get to the menu now). Secondly when its showing the opening scenes, it has a few like pixel glitches it looks like. But i can deal with that for now. My main problem is i cant load the first damn level. It starts loading and then crashes. If anyone has any tips to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
