I've tried everything I can with this game to get it to load. I've gone through the setup and even downloaded a virtual drive to mount the HPCOS zip.
I open one of the app's and it says I need the right disk. I open the other and it says i'm missing a windows.dll file.

All right, hear me out on this one.
I dled it. Mounted, extracted. Cool. I click "autorun.exe" and "English", then "Install."It says "wait while it's installing (something) which will guide you through"...it starts and ends, then TWO consecutive messages come up saying "Internal failure- Error 0x800x40707" with no description. I OK both of them, and it says "Requirred installation file is missing or corrupted.(setup.cfg)". Please help, I really want to play this!

for those who don't understand how to install. MOST games of today you open in either daemon tools or magic iso.
then look for G: or D: or F: or whatever it'll say for you there. run setup.exe wherever that one is in it. and then replace the original game.exe ? I think it wuz in this torrent, that comes along. anyways replace the original with that one and play...

Installed easily, loaded up easily, and everything works fine. The sound is right on, and the game loads perfect. One little thing I noticed that happens to be off is the in-game map. It tends to not refresh often. I don't know if that's from the torrent, or the game itself.

This game worked great on Windows 7 (64 bit)
I LOVED it so much! It's the second time in a row I am going trough it, it's so full and fun (And actually I've been discovering a lot of stuff I didn't even see the first time)
1. Love how there are PLENTY of secrets in the game
2. lots of beans to collect
3. A trading system to get Wizard cards (And you can actually get a nimbus 2001 and a shield)
4. Love how there's the quidditch game, and you can actually kick the other players in order to catch the stone.
5. The duels are awesome, you can bet up to 200 beans and win! You can get as many beans as you like in the duels, you also get to use 3 spells in the duels (The expelliarmus is a lot of fun, it's like playing tennis with the spell the other bot throws)
6. There are 4-5 class challenges in the game, you can get house points from them (You can actually get house points!!) And if you manage to beat your last high score in each challenge, you get awarded more house points) There are also hidden secrets in each challenge (And ones that are hard to find)
7. From time to time, there's going to happen this "Weekly housepoint ceremony award" in wich professor Dumbledore says which house is in the lead, and if Gryffindor is winning, you get to go to the Bean bonus room and get as many beans as you can in a limited time period (The time they give you depends on how higher Gryffindor is from the second house)
8. You can make your own health potions by collecting this "wigentree bark" and "flobberworm mucus" and put them in one of the many cauldrons around Hogwarts and you automatically get a potion (or potions) depending on how many ingredients you have.
9. There are 40 silver wizard cards to collect, for every ten of them you get, you'll get a key to open a secret room (You need the 4 to open it)
10. There are 50 or 60 bronze wizard cards, for every 10 of them you get, you'll get another health bar.
11. You can visit the Gryffindor common room!! The grand staircase (the stairs move!!) The slytherin common room, the dungeons, several classrooms, the girls bathroom (eek), Dumbledore's office, the great hall, corridors, Hagrid's hut, the forest, the greenhouse, the grounds, the nursery, etc!! And there are secrets all around
12. There is a part where Harry potter becomes Goyle and that's where you sneak around the slytherin common room, and then he becomes Harry again and you have to run from the students! Because if they see you, they will run to you and try to catch you, and then they get you to professor Snape. This part is so fun I swear.
13. You fight with Aragog and the basilisk
14. There's actually the "debug" mode for this game, where you can hack it and visit ANY level of the game, ANY room (even locked ones, and the ones which you can't enter anymore) You can get as many beans, ingredients and lives as you want and whatnot!!
