Good up man, ideal for playing the old games you got tucked away cuz XP won't run 'em
If you wanna "dual boot" get Acronis disk director suite from TPB

Is This Bootable?

g14c30n (2008-08-12)

Thanks for this great upload, I've been looking for Windows Millennium for-EVER. (Not to be used as a Main OS. In VMWare, yes.) Sorry I can't seed after I'm done downloading, My dad's noticing the recent slowdown in the internet speed, and doesn't know what it's from. (Hint to downloaders: The second key, VFCBR, works!! The first one doesn't. Haven't tried the third.)

g14c30n (2008-08-12)

Oh. and this -is bootable-! Boot it, and keep choosing Boot From CD>Start Windows ME Setup from CD

a1malik (2008-08-15)

ChuckemuHaven (2008-09-27)

I'm DLing this to use to upgrade my GF's folks's PC, which is ANCIENT, & still running 98!

g14c30n (2009-06-09)

We got improved internet yesterday, and I've not gotten this file on my external hard drive yet, so I'm downloading, and I -WILL- seed. I'll hopefully stay seeding until my ratio's like...10.0 or more!

TheLosSantos (2009-06-24)

Working great!
Millennium sucks, but its the only thing who works in my old notebook.
Windows 2000 doesn't work because it has an strange error with acpi process....
Seeding...

ME is great fer runnin classic games, an' stuff that needs windows. I switched t' linux years ago, rather than put up with the slowness of NT. don't get me wrong, win 7 (which is nt based) is stable, and fast on fast hardware) but if a computer can't run 7 fast, it needs ME, preferably dual-booted with ubuntu so you can still run modern programs as well as the classics.
I like fast snappy responsiveness, and face it, it takes less power (tualatin pIII or athlon XP 1400+ minimum ) to make ME zippy than it does for XP (Athlon64 3800+ or p4 3.06 minimum) or 7 (phenom x4 9550 or 3.2ghz core2quad).
ME is a fine OS, it was just ahead of it's time, and needs at least early athlon XP, late pentium 3 era hardware to be fully stable.
a note of advice, use a decent gpu (9650, x600, x800) or if you must use nvidia, a geforce 6600 or 7600, and many stability troubles will magically vanish.
stop comparing ME to vista. vista is crap even on a new eight-core, with a hd7850 and 4gb of ddr3.
ME on the other hand can be made to run fast and stable if you take the time to configure your build properly.
never liked the groggier feel of nt-based systems with the exception of windows 7, which I like very much. but even 7 can seem 'groggy' after being used to ME unless your new pc is fast enough to properly run 7. (at least a dual-core AMD, or quad-core intel).
I used ME for years (and still do with the patch in the regestry, ) and have no complaints. using said memory limiter, I currently triple boot win 7, ME, and ubuntu on this rig. (7 for new games, ME for classics, and ubuntu for everything else)

csarebel (2013-01-08)

note to those wanting to triple boot. partition your hdd, format it, and install ME first, then install 7 to a different partition, and finally install ubuntu to yet another partition, Ubuntu's grub loader will find all 3 os's, and make the job much easier if done in this order.

@csarebel
Or you could use a free software like virtualbox or VMware Player to load hundreds of OS's On your host or most used OS.
