I hate to be a downer, but this English dubbed version of Fist of Legend is a different movie than the original one. They changed more than the language, they reedited the movie to make it more "accessible" to Western audiences. In effect what they did was dumb it down, remove authentic cultural elements, and turn it into just an action movie. They ruined the movie. Yes, this English dubbed version, is still a good action film, but if you get a chance to see the original version you will see why it is considered one of the best martial arts movies ever. It not only has action, a story, great fighting, etc., it also has that rare thing for any movie: it has soul. After many years Dragon Dynasty has FINALLY released the original version (after fans complained for years -even Quentin Torentino stepped in to help). If you really want to see one of the best martial arts movies ever, don't watch this version first. Watch the original version first. cheers.
