Ipod Sonic the Hedgehog + Ipod Wizard v1.3 + 5 and 5.5 gen Firmw

this is the Itunes game, Sonic the Hedgehog, ready to be played! just follow the instructions below, and you're done. and sorry it's in a .rar file, but i put it that way so people will continue to seed.......hopefully. Installation Instructions Step 1: Extract the RAR file from the torrent. Step 2: Plug in your iPod. Make sure it is enabled for disk use, and the "Do Not Disconnect" logo is flashing. Step 3: Open up your iPod in "My Computer". Enable hidden files and folders in "Folder Options". Step 4: Open up the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 5: Paste the "Games_RO" folder into the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 6: Open up iPodWizard (it's a standalone file, no need to install) Step 7: Change the edit mode to "Firmware File". Step 8: Click "Open Firmware" and choose either "5g Firmware.bin" or "5.5g Firmware.bin" based on weather you have a 5g or a 5.5g iPod. If you choose the wrong one, you will have to boot into disk mode and restore your iPod. Step 9: Click "Write to iPod" Step 10: Follow the instructions on the screen. Eject the iPod when it is done. Step 11: Reset your iPod by holding in the center button and play/pause button until the apple logo appears Step 12: Go to Extras > Games on your iPod, choose your game, and enjoy. o and i forgot to mention...
after you put the game on ur ipod, when you hook it up to your computer again, dont let itunes sync with it!!!! it will ask if u want to transfer your purchases, and no matter what choice you make, it will be deleted. so when you hook it up, copy the files out of your ipod, sync your ipod, but don't upgrade the firmware! then copy the files back and it will work.

Just as a warning, the firm ware that comes for it (for the 5G, I haven't tested the 5.5G because I lack a 5.5G iPod) is pretty "gayed up"
It actually doesn't look that bad. I guess the gay thing about it is at the top bar it'll say "Travis's iPod".
But, if your name is Travis, it's pretty cool.

i downloaded the torrent from here
and installed the firmware included in that torrent.
if i put the firmware on THIS sonic torrent into my ipod, will i still be able to play all of the other 20games from the other torrent?=)

yes, all 20 games should still work with this sonic game. but if you have a 5gen ipod, just use the firmware from the other torrent you downloaded.

This didn't work for me. Copied over the game and wrote the 5g firmware to my ipod.
When I tried to play the game it said "this version of the game is no longer supported, please download the newest version from iTunes"

Copied the game to Games_RO (I already have a bunch of games running under a hacked firmware) and tried to run it like that first. Didn't work, tried the firmware with this torrent, same result. All the other games I have still work.

im getting the same problem, when i open the sonic game it says this game no longer supports this version, i tried downloading other firmwares but nothing seems to work, i even tried restoring the freakin ipod....nothing works....i need help! I wanna play the freakin game!

i think i know the problem:
since sonic is so new (2008 i think) the firmware thats used by the older games isnt new enough to play the game. thats probably the reason why sonic won't work but all the other games you downloaded do.

Hey, just a quick question.
On the other torrent with the 20 odd games, it says you have to backup your iPod because adding the games will cause the iPod to be formatted...
Is this the case with this torrent? I can't find software that can back it up, and I don't want all my files on my iPod to be deleted...

I gotta say that iPodWizard.exe won't even start 4 me! My computer says the usual "iPod Firmware Modifier has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" error message. Does it happen 2 anyone alse?

One more thing... I have installed the cracked firmware earlyer (when ipodwizard 1.2 was only avaialble), so i suppose somehow I need to remove that installed firmware and put back the original one b4 installing the new one with 1.3. The only problem is that the 1.2 ipod wizard does not detect that i have plugged in my ipod, so there is nothing i can do, and the new 1.3 ipod wizard won't even start when my ipod is plugged in says the usual error maessage that i've written in the previous comment! Can someone help me please if he has experianced similar problems?
