The Horseflies - Human Fly

The Horseflies were founded in the late 1970s under the name 'Tompkins County Horseflies' by husband and wife Jeff Claus and Judy Hyman, Rich Stearns and John Hayward. The Flies' current lineup consists of: * Judy Hyman: violin, vocals * Jeff Claus: guitar, banjo uke, vocals * Rich Stearns: banjo, vocals * Taki Masuko: percussion * Jay Olsa: bass * Rick Hansen: accordion, organ After Hayward died of cancer in 1997, they stopped performing until, several years ago, they began performing under different names, such as Edna's Driveway, and have just recently began to perform as The Horse Flies again. Claus's song 'Sally Ann' was covered by Natalie Merchant on her 2003 album The House Carpenter's Daughter.
