I agree, the subs are gibbirish.
I found some other ones and they worked for me

(just rename theme to the same name as the video file with the subscribt .sub or .srt)

The subtitles provided are not in English, they are in Russian, to get them right you have to open the sub-file with for examplen WORD (choose open with: cyrilic windows) then you mark all and paste in an empty "Notepad" document, save as unicode and VOILA, you have perfectly good working Russian subtitles.
