3D Movie Collection Enhanced (IMAX 3D + Creeps 3D) - Field Sequ

Description:

IMAX 3D/Horror 3D Movie Collection ---------------------------------- Real field sequential 3D movies - Can be played with StereoPlayer by Peter Wimmer http://www.3dtv.at/Index_en.aspx and output to various 3D formats eg anaglyph (red/cyan glasses), shutter-glasses etc... All movies have been encoded using XVID. The formats have not been altered (Sadly, they all come in 4:3 on DVD which is a shame since they're originally in IMAX format.) Some movies had pretty bad quality out of the box. ENHANCED VERSION: Better encoding, less artifacts, smaller file sizes. Here we go: IMAX 3D Collection ----------------------------- 1) Encounter in the Third Dimension Known from IMAX - 36:01 2) Haunted Castle As shown in IMAX - 36:42 3) SOS Planet Horrible boring production, but has one or two nice 3D scenes. 36:05 4) Alien Adventure As shown in IMAX - 33:41 Other 3D Movies ------------------------ 1) The Creeps 3D Some horror flick. 01:16:04 HOW TO PLAY: ------------ In StereoPlayer select and load the movie to play. Select "interlaced L/R" source if asked. Select desired 3D viewing output method in menu. If the 3D effect does not look right swap left/right 3D view with key F7 to correct 3D view. Have Fun!

This is an updated, enhanced version of the old torrent. This one has better encoding and quality AND smaller file sizes.

Likay (2008-05-30)

Great collection! Heard anything about beowulf 3d-movie on consumerlevel? (And yes, of course the 3d-version!)

flexy321 (2008-05-31)

well i dont think its out, i also dont know whether it would ever get released in 3D.

Likay (2008-06-01)

Great collection anyway and my first experience with 3d-movies. By the way: Do you play games in 3d as well? This is the real kick though!

flexy321 (2008-06-01)

i got a 50" 3D Plasma...the problem is its too heavy to constantly move to my desk from the "watch tv" location..otherwise i would game more often on that monster.
Until now i only have the WoW 3D drivers, so yes, i play WoW in 3D on a giant 50" plasma, ocassionally.

Likay (2008-06-01)

Wow 3d-drivers? Never heard that they had specific 3d-drivers for that game. I guess i learn all the time. hehe. Myself i use either the nvidia stereodrivers or the iz3d-drivers to play games on my passive projection rig. I really hope 3d-stereo is the next big thing to break through!
I tried SOS-planet from the other torrent and it works really great! You're absolutely right that it's boring though. Looking forward to the other ones.

flexy321 (2008-06-01)

latest Nvidia drivers for Vista only support anaglyph. For the 3D DLP/Plasma you need proprietary drivers/licenses from tridef....they charge $4.99 per license/game.
Hope that Nvidia will extend their drivers and add support for other 3D methods again.

pomogolddigger (2008-06-01)

I think this torrent is both goofy anf fun. The film are pretty shitty, but hey, IT'S 3D! :-D The only one I find really entertaining though, is "The Creeps". It is real b-movie exploitation fun.
My problem is with the player. It works beutifully, but stops after 5 min. Then you have to buy it for 39 euro. I don't have 39 euro, so i'm kinda screwed. Is there any way around this?

Likay (2008-06-02)

Every movie works finewith nice 3d-effect but i have problem with alien adventure when then scene moves fast (coasters). Static images works fine but during fast movements 3d is lost. Is that on the original movie too? Probably going to buy some movies from now but need good places to buy them from. Thanks for a great share flexy!

flexy321 (2008-06-02)

likay, really depends how they implemented 3d. I noticed eg. in the roller coaster scene..not everything is always 3D, indeed.

flexy321 (2008-06-02)

pomo:
As far as i know StereoPlayer is the only player capable of playing those.
Would have to digg more..dont know if there is another player capable of reading 3D movies.
There might be..since i saw some of those movies sold complete with glasses and software...but i dont know whether they just bundled stereo player.
I agree, the 5mins limit for the unregistered version sucks.

Mario64a (2008-08-14)

I hope I can burn this on DVD and watch them in 3D on my 40" LCD TV. Only have 2 find 3D glasses somewhere ;-)

Mario64a (2008-08-16)

Edit: I burned 4 of the 3D movies with ConvertXtoDVD (or else I get bad quality) and it worked. I only have 2 buy 3D glasses. On my 40" LCD it works very good. I let U all know how it looks with the glasses.

Mario64a (2008-08-16)

I'm back, and I found some info about buying 3D glasses. And this is what I found: Haunted castle is NOT red/cyan, but Colorcode. Info about Colorcode -->
http://www.colorcode3d.dk/group.asp?group=13&sub=13

Or just Google with searchword in Dutch "3D bril kopen" or English "buy 3D glasses"

genie1101 (2008-08-28)

Hi I am using stereoscopic player (I assume this is right) and when playing haunted castle (waitig for others :) ) the image is a load of garbled blocks at the top of the player screen. Anyone help?

corthew (2008-09-16)

You can convert them to anaglyph using virtual dub with the interlaced RGB filter.
Follow the instructions here:
http://www.puppetkites.net/virtualdub3d.htm

VirtualDub is opensource freeware so there is no charge. You can save the movie as an anaglyph for burning to DVD/VCD which is much better than just being able to view it on your computer.
You have to play around with the settings a bit to get it right though Its not as automated as the stereoplayer advertised with this torrent.
But you only need to worry about the first column so its not too bad.

corthew (2008-09-16)

I'm having a problem getting sound to work. Creeps is fine but none of the others have sound.
Does anyone know which codec I need?
Thanks

corthew (2008-09-16)

As for the haunted castle issue, All of these are in field sequential format. None are red/cyan or etc. The player converts them on the fly to the format you want. The same glasses will work for all of them. Its the player or the converter that must be adjusted.

Mario64a (2008-09-20)

Only on your PC screen need the glasses. I tried it with glasses on my 40" LCD TV and it's better without them. I convert and burn the movies with ConvertXtoDVD.

flexy321 (2008-10-02)

yes the movies are all in "field sequential"....you need stereoplayer and then set what output format to show them.
If you have a "3d ready" TV set then set stereoplayer usign "3d Ready" (or checkboard)...or whatever format your Tv understands.
If you dont have 3d shutter glasses, you still can watch in anaglyph if you set the output in stereoplayer to "anaglyph".
(as a sidenote "Colorcode" is just a new (kind of odd) kind of anaglyph format.)

Hey, I try to live on a small pension. Not easet
So, since I was not willing to pay the price for the Stereoscopic Player I searched and searched. Here's what you need and it's legally free. Don't forget to set it to Interlaced.

bagel22690 (2009-01-31)

hey flexy321, do you mind telling me what you used to rip these from dvd? i just got some 3d dvds that need ripping :)

feilen (2009-05-05)

THANK YOU. Thank. You. Every other 3d movie torrent is just the anaglyph version.

falalala1 (2009-05-31)

wow... thanks mate!

badrabbit (2009-06-26)

hey flexy321!
can you tell me how exactly you have ripped/converted your dvd's?
I'm trying the same thing. I have my field sequential DVDs and cannot get to extract anything right....
Thanks!

Downloaded then discovered the Stereoscopic Player requires registering for ?39 if you intend to watch it more than 5 minutes, and the cracks are now useless. I'm just not prepared to drop that much on something whose novelty value is likely to wear off within a few days. Shame there's no alternative. So, downloaded this torrent for nothing really.

sajit85 (2009-08-02)

holy crap!!!!!!!!
fake post
instead of creep it has got Righteous Kill in 2d

djnforce9 (2010-01-28)

I'm going to try this with the stereoscopic player and my iz3D monitor. This will surely look great.
Thanks.

boagdon (2010-02-04)

I've been trying and trying to install all the f@!%ng DirectShow filters and still none of these files work with the Stereoscopic Player from 3dtv.at
Can anyone help me out and tell me what I have to do?
I have v 1.5.4. activated with a keygen I found.
Thx

mad0_o (2010-03-08)

I hope it really works.
I just have one question, I need the special glases? or the glases on red an blue? or they are both the same?

Cgoff87 (2010-03-23)

I have the glasses I got from when I went to go see Avatar 3D, they're the same ones that IMAX uses. These are the clear ones, so if it works Ill let ya'll know!

Cgoff87 (2010-03-23)

Well your definitley gonna need the stereoscopic player, and the settings defined here may be diffrent depending on what your using but just keep messing around with it and youll get it. Nice UL flexy321!

Cgoff87 (2010-03-23)

Oh yeah, Avatar 3D or basically any other glasses you get from a cinema wont work. So if you dont have them already, You'll need to get a pair like me.

Mart726 (2010-08-23)

"In StereoPlayer select and load the movie to play. Select "interlaced L/R" source if asked.
Select desired 3D viewing output method in menu.
If the 3D effect does not look right swap left/right 3D view with key F7 to correct 3D view."
---------------
These settings don't work!
I've tried many of the displaying settings and couldn't force this movies to work in 3D.
Please tell me WHAT EXACT SETTINGS ARE NEEDED FOR EACH MOVIE?
