I think you should paste your own _MASreceipt file in to the contents folder of the game.
Just download a free app, right click, show package contents, contents folder and there you'll find your own receipt file. Copy that to the same hidden folder of Jedi Outcast.
Check the system requirements of the game! It may not work on some video cards.

yeh, downloaded the one from that link, it works but is very buggy. every time you press escape it crashes to desktop and the fella looks like the human centipede, multiplayer didn't seem to work either

To fix this:
1. Open terminal
2. change to /Jedi Knight II.app/Contents/MacOS/ directory
3. type (or paste) this into terminal:
sudo chmod u+x Jedi\ Knight\ II
It will make it a unix executable
Somehow the formatting broke because it was torrented as an app instead of compressed.

For the terminal command you need to write this in the terminal. And yes, it works after this!
cd "/Applications//Jedi Knight II.app/Contents/MacOS/"
Then
sudo chmod u+x Jedi\ Knight\ II

1)Open Terminal
2)Type cd and drag MacOS folder to Terminal's windows
3)copy-paste sudo chmod u+x Jedi\ Knight\ II
4)TURN OFF "F.LUX" OR "SHADES"!!!!!!!! After that, my brightness issue disappeared.

after the number 3 it ask me for password in my terminal and it doesn't even let me type.. any solutions? I dont want to waste my time on DL this good game... I want it to work pls help

when you type your password in terminal, it will seem like nothings typing but its just not displaying what you are typing. just type your password and hit enter. it works.

Here's what I did in terminal..Help please!

And the it keeps telling me this:
-bash: cd/Applications/Jedi Knight II.app/Contents/MacOS: No such file or directory
Any solutions ?
(by the way, I dragged it into the terminal to be sure)

Noob's Guide to play Jedi Knight II (Works on Lion)
1. Go to the app store.
2. download a free app, whatever you like.
3. right click in Jedi Knight 2
4. Click Show package Contents
5. Enter the Contents Folder
6. Open a new Finder window
7. Go to your app that you downloaded
8. Right Click your app
9. Click Show Package Contents
10. Enter the Contents folder
11. Copy "_MASReceipt"
12. Go back to your Jedi Knight 2 Contents
13. Paste "_MASReceipt" in the Jedi Knight 2 Contents
14. Open Console
15. In your Console type "cd " (with a space after "cd")
16. Drag the folder named "MacOS" into your console.
17. Hit Enter
18. It should just enter a new line in your console saying absolutely nothing the text from when you enter a new line like (OS name): MacOS (User)$
19: paste: sudo chmod u+x Jedi Knight II (Into your console)
20: If it asks for a password, type in your password for your user account.
21: when you're typing your password the console will not show any keys what so ever when you are typing.
22: after you type you're correct password it should enter a new line.
23: Close the console if you have done this correctly.
24: if you messed up create a new console window and exit your previous one.
25: Play the game.
26: Enjoy.

The forward slashes lets terminal know it's a single file and not multiple files

For multiplayer to work, you need to chmod u+x the multiplayer app as well. It's under:
/Applications/Jedi Knight II.app/Contents/Jedi Knight II MP.app/Contents/MacOS/
and is called

Everything seems to be working just fine from there. I'm maxed out on all graphics details.
